It's a bit foggy in the cab!!
My H3 is 1 week old today!! It celebrated by blowing thick fog through the AC vents. Prior to this, I had drivenabout about 50 miles on the interstate, pulled off the highway and the fog started & continuedfor about 5 minutes before itquit. There was no change in interior temp or smell while this was happening and now seems to be running fine again. Any suggestions??

if you bought it new or if it's still under warranty, then bring it in to get checked.... if there were a smell I would say heater core, but with no smell it sounds like just some ort of condensation...in not that good on ac units though.....doc olds can prolly help ya out.

Thick fog aye......[sm=icon_rofl.gif]This is great fun , Wrongway1,my enjoyment is not related to your post, but your observation. Fog is sweet. Assuming this is current history, the most humid time of year, and Oklahoma ain't no exception (Oklahoma City), fog out of the vents is an indication that your primary air conditioning vent temperature is below the dew point. This is good!!!!! You want A/C vent temps in the 50's or as close thereto if possible. Means your A/C is kickin but!
So, on a humid dayw/ the tempat say80 - 85F, and the humidity is 60% or up. and A/C vent temp is near60F or less ........will make fog. It is just condensation, not poisonous gas!

Fog, seems pretty normal to me, it happens a lot over here when I have the AC sucking air from outside and the humidity is high. Doesnt do it so much when the AC is on recycle as the AC has effectively de-humidified the cabin air.

I've seen A/C do this before but rarely and with no ill effects on the system. You'd think living in Florida withthe avarage humidity of the tropics I'd see that a lot more but I haven't. I think all of the planets have to be lined up just right for that to happen. I was worried about the H3's A/C when I bought it due to the fact there was NO rear A/C vents for the kids but those fears were allayed quickly. The A/C pumps cold and blows adequate air to the kids in back. I've had problems with the windshield fogging on the outside above the defrosted ducts in the AM when the dew point is in the 80's but it's a Florida thing and it goes away when the sun gets high enough to burn it off.
