Beeper, I finally got the PIE unit working. Turns out that I had the wrong cable harness (GMLAN-X1). The correct harness is the GM12-X2. Hooked it up and it worked. I did notice some engine noise, especially at high RPMs, so maybe I will see if a ground loop isolator will work.

Diablito, does your interface (the one from Frys) hook up to the XM module, or to the back of the radio? Just curious.

Yea the one I have hooks up to the back of the radio. It comes with two brackets, depending on what type of unit you have. It has a small whining noise when you turn down the volume but I usually have it loud enough you don't even notice! I use pandora so no use for xm!!
