Default Installing a chrome billet hood grill w/ handles

Guys & Gals,
I performed a forum "search" and could only find how to install the handles.
Is there already a thread for the whole grill? Received a new grill last night at my surprise birthday party! We have a wedding to go to, an hour out of town, this weekend so I want to get this on quick. It appears the new grill attaches to the current black grill cover... Grill came w/ glue. Hubby said he ordered from G-Style.... one of our sponsors!! Yea.
Any help with installations? Thanks in advance![sm=feedback.gif]

Sheree: Happy Bday young lady. I don't have one, but I checked G Style, hubby is a smart guy, great pricing!!!! There are a couple different varieties, some glue/3M tape right over the factory one, others replace it. You should have instrictions w/ the cover???? I assume you make sure the factory cover is CLEAN, usually wipe w/ alcohol to get all wax, soap etc... off, then apply with some pressure. It really is that easy. Somebody who has done one of these, help Her Hmr!!

SAWEET cake! Pun intended

Thanks Doc Olds,
Yes, it has glue & 3M tape and instructions state it does go over the top of the existing grill. Just wanted to know if anyone had any tips. Just don't want the thing flying off down the freeway into my windshield. Have never used glue & 3M tape before. We'll see if anyone has any tips.

Thank you for the BD greeting.

Thank you HummBob,
I'm out the door to wash it and will try to FTD (follow the directions ). I'll let ya all know if I come up with any useful tips.
A pic is probably not necessary means ya all saw these before, unless I install it upside down....age thing?... [sm=icon_blah.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Default I DID IT!! RE: Installing a chrome billet hood grill w/ handles

Hey Doc Olds,
Iinstalled itjust fine, used the alcohol too. Used a rubber mallet to gently tap the tabs from the underside of the hood. There is 3Mdouble sided tape and 4 little brackets to bend over. I'm very happy with it. The handles didn't seem to glare while in the drivers seat either. I'm proud that I did it myselfso I'm attaching photo's anyway... [sm=smiley2.gif]
