HMMM.....

Why not mount it to the roof with the base at the back corner of the truck? You could mount the base very easly into the Roof Rail Track System. Then loop it down to the front of the truck when not in use. Could also dub as a flag pole at offroad parks.

Just my .02

I am in the process of designing an antenna mount which will use the existing screws on the H2.
It will go fastened along with the bolts that hold the right hood guide.
There a two hood guides. There is a left side and right side hood guide.
The right hood guide is bolted with three bolts to the H2 chasis and is situated or located next to the left of the plastic mesh cover for the air breather intake under the hood.
When completed, I will post photos.
(Also the Military Blackout Light photos coming soon!)
Great project...Where did you get the antenna and hard ware????

Hi, I installed my cb antenna on a truck-mount bracket and used self tapping stainless screws and mounted it to the back of the swing tire mount, the swr was 1.2 with a 600 watt wilson 5 ft antenna.....it sits dead center of the back window and is a great centering when backing up to the boat hitch......

The raido waves are compatable to having any antenna mounted to the outer hood area and not being in line with hanging trees and limbs.....

i also have a Quick release for going in parking garages so not to damage the antenna, it comes off with a quick push down and off it comes,I also have a running flag for off roading in the Glades, that sits 10 ft off the mount for a total of 14 ft to top of site flag, so the loosers can see the Winner..

Hope this helps....Rick
