Default installed Ham radio

Installed my Ham radio in the H3 today. Besides using it to talk to other Ham radio operators, I use it to connect to my GPS and transmit my location to other Ham radio operators.
And also to the Web for anyone to see.
Check it out at http://aprs.fi/?call=kc4ww-14&mt=m&z=11&timerange=3600

For info on getting A Ham radio license check out http://www.hello-radio.org

Pretty cool techie link but I'm not sure I'd want everyone to know where I was at any given time. As I was looking at you driving down Kershaw-Camden HY I thought, my wife would LOVE me to have that, or better yet, a transponder implanted under my skin.

They don't chase down the lil amatuers off in the boonies. Fry a bunch of radios in the city and they might come looking for you. Since I am not using mine yet I am not in violation yet. Might be soon but not yet.

Hack radio waves? Anyone with the right equipment can listen in on anything sent through the air or on a wire. I can even use a packet sniffer to "monitor" network traffic on my domain. But, with HAM's, they're not real friendly to those un-liscensed folks who wanna play. If you're wanting to talk you'll have to get an amped CB and stay in the 26-28 Mhz range and hope you don't get busted. If you wanna hack wires, be prepared to be hacked back, it's part of the game. Hmmm, maybe someday I'll backdoor into this site and change my wrench to something kewl!~

Onstar knows where you are and most likely so does your cell phone. You can run but you can't hide.
