Default Install Aftermarket Car alarm and remote start

I just recently bought an 2007 H3..all black...black powder coated wheels...black leather with gray piping.. and I want to get a car alarm and remote start installed. I have heard the craziness of installing on a 2007 H3 and having alot of issues. Took my H3 to a reputable, reliable, and referred Car Place nearby and after 5 hours of working on it..it still isnt right. He said he needed different modules and bypass equipment. The H3 now has the alarm (Prestige AP*&???) which is working fine but the factory door lock/unlock interferes and also has to be used with the Prestige. No remote start as of yet b/c he needed to figure out the first issue before continuing.

Can anybody tell me ALL of the bypass/modules I will need for this alarm so I can stay on top of my installer for Monday?

Anything like model #s and names will be helpful...resistors/modules/bypass

No more worries....after 5 days and a few hundred dollars later...the installer was able to get some good advice and help from fellow installers on how to tackle the job...In Houston, TX I feel that it is a must to have remote start so the ac can cool off the 110 degree car before you put your little ones in the car.

you dont even need to by a special bypass. you can bypass it with 2 relays and a few resistors. Prestige is made by Audiovox and if you look on the Audiovox tech site, they show a diagram on how to do it. there is a module out there that does work(Flashlogic FL-DL1), but its an extra $75-$150 depending on the shop.

I install remote starters and I have done at least 2 dozen H3's(including my wifes) and havent had a single problem with the relay/resistor method.

if the shop you got it done at cant figure it out, let them know about the diagram on the Audiovox tech site.

Concur with DMAC
You don't need a bypass,
Direct Electronic has a tech sheet on this, on their installer accessible tech website.
