Default Ideas for selling a H1 in need of new engine.

Looking For Ideas.. I replaced the 6.5 engine approx 4 years ago, and now it looks like I need to do it again. After a stoke last year, I am not in a position to do a conversion, and would rather sell it than have the 6.5 again. Any Ideas?
Thanks for your input,
Ryan

It would be a good one for some one looking for an H1 who want to put a duramax or cummins in and can get the vehicle for less that way

It is a 96 open top, located in Lubbock, Texas. I was hoping to get a 25k. I'm trying to be realistic, but figured anything less would make it worth replacing the engine. 3hummers, was trying to pm you, but apparently I don't have permissions, or can't figure it out.
I have it posted on auto trader. I can post a link to it but wanted to make sure it wasn't a forum violation to do so.

Don't think 25K without a motor is going to happen. Retail for a new 6.5 TD installed is about 15K. You can do a reman or take out for half that or maybe less but it is a project. Duramax conversions start at about 30K and go up to 50K. Cummins swaps start about 20K. Retail for a 96 OT in really good condition is mid 30's to maybe high 30's if you find the right buyer. I think you may be looking at putting in a take out motor as the least expensive way to get the truck on the market for a reasonable price. I know a few people looking for trucks without a good motor for Duramax conversions but they aren't looking to pay more than about 15K.

Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but figured you would be in the know. Thanks for the test PM, I received it, but only have the option to delete it. One day I will figure it out.

ryno,

I just joined the forum because I'm looking to buy an H1. I am interested in buying yours and doing the engine replacement myself. Can we talk off-line

Default Interested in Purchasing

Ryno, I would be interested in purchasing. I am looking to do a Duramax conversion on an H1 open top. Can I get you to send me some particulars and pictures?
