the newest color in Hummer’s lineup: Imperial Blue. The new color is very dark and almost looks black in some light conditions. It has quite a bit of metallic flake in the paint, similar to the superior blue color that it replaced. My guess is that Hummer will sell about as many of this color as they did the superior blue color (not many). As many of you probably know the H3 underwent an engine upgrade for 2007 to a 3.7 liter in-line 5 from the 3.5 liter in 2006. The 22 horsepower difference is relatively minimal, but will hopefully keep the reviewers off the ‘underpowered’ bandwagon. You can notice a little bit more punch in the 2000 RPM range and a little when passing vehicles around 45mph. Other than the new color and engine upgrade, very little has changed to the 2007 Hummer H3. Would the 2007 upgrades be enough for me to turn down the offers on the current 2006 models with more incentives (Like 0% Financing)? Doubtful.

I used to have a Camaro Berlinetta that color!

It was called Midnight Blue Metallic. Real SWEET color!

 

My trail rig project K5 is that color. Everyone always thinks it's black. However, the extras that are going on are black, and it helps bring out the blue in it a little better.

My wife wanted a "slate blue" 06, but they couldn't find anything anywhere near us that had the options we wanted, in that color. So her secone choice was the boulder gray, so that's what we'll be getting. I also liked the green, but she didn't like it as much as I did. It's her H3, so I let her make the final choice.

 

I am hoping for some interior upgrades such as cubbies to put stuff like sunglasses and spare change and pens and junk. Maybe move the window switches to a better spot, and if they use the same basic pieces that are in the '06, then it should just be a matter of hitting thr dealer up for some new parts.

Any word on this type of change?
