Tell me more about the chrome pipes. Where did you get them and how much. I like your idea.[sm=smiley20.gif]

How did the intake, lower your rpm's?[sm=dontgetit.gif]
+1

if the gearing is the same, tires are the same size then rpms will remain the same.

Yeah that's what I thought. I was wondering if I was getting old and not keeping up with the times. I didnt think the intake would have anything to do with the rpm's.

I'm sure the RPMs were a mistake. But I'd still like to know where you got the chrome pipe? I'd like to try your mod.

Anybody else know?

Those are the plastic chrome do-it-yourself air intake pipes they sell at Pep Boys. You can mix and match them to any angle or length you want. I used them on my Scion xB in the same fashion and they actually work pretty well.

I like it!! (but then again, I would)

The parts are available at autozone. It looks like he has used two pieces of intake tubing, one elbow(8728) and one 6" straight (8718). It looks like he used the original coupler on the throttle body side, and maybe a coupler from autozone for the other side (not sure about that one)
Here's links to the autozone parts. I've bought both parts (but not a coupler) and i haven't tried them,so keep your receipt just in case.

My son used something like this for his Ford Probe. I shoulda remembered. Lately I've been forgetting more than I remember.

If anyone does this and gets the perfect match be sure to share it with us
