The 2 filterhomemade intakelooks funny. It's like a 2 headed snake! The DIY intake is not bad, but I'd prefer to buy an aftermarket one that has proven performance gains.

I'm playing with the idea, but it won't be a Rube Goldberg like over at the Colorado forum[8D]

drove all weekend with my new mod, and come to find out that im getting more gas mileage, lower rpm at higher speeds, and much quieter engine. i dont know if something was wrong with my stock stuff or whatnot, but i do know i like this better...

for example.
before i had this mod i drove 215-220 miles before i had to fill up(all interstate 70mph on cruise)

now i drove 250miles and just hit a quarter tank(all interstate.. on cruise 70mph)

whats going on? i have no clue.. but i like it! im going t ocoat the tubing and put some hummer lettering on it !

Hey jeepeater, turned out nice. See how well those hump couplers work? Pretty cool eh? I found my similar mod to be very quiet. Only problem I have is on a cold start the breather box buzzes against the right inner fender well. I haven't had the free time to figure out how to stop that noise but I prefer the tube in place of the stock resonator box.

These intake mods are no different that a K&N or Trueflow system, performance should be about the same as there's very little difference. The chrome tubing looks sweet. Glad I could help.
