I Guess it Was Bound to Happen...
Have never had a problem with my '06...till today..It has been sitting since last fall. Got in it today..Started right up..Backed it out..shut it off...and 1 hour later..wouldn't start..Checked cables..put a charger on..10 minutes..started right up..THE PROBLEM..now the drivers window doesn't work...and the door locks do nothing...Any suggestions ??

bound to happen,yeh
these things are like all other machinery, run good when run often, not made to be forgotten. my retired neighbor is letting his pickup pileup with snow for weeks, then he'll be crying!
i never let a veh. sit a week without a good drive.
even in winter i did a warmup and short burnouts in my pole barn with my 460 stang. could not drive it on wet roads!!. my pont trans sport gets a few miles weekly, work van.
so look around for many posts about same problem, get it right, then, like a lady, use it or loose it.

Checked the cables again..One was loose..won't tighten up..so I guess it's time to change them...The door locks work now..but the other 3 windows don't...When I connected the cables again...the 3 center lights on the heater control ***** flashed on and off 3-4 times...Is there a specific cable end that others have found to be the best to replace the battery cable ends ?..

i think u will find the actual crimp on the cable is very good.
if u must change the batt conn i would do this. cut off a good portion of the flat metal, leaving enough to drill a hole for a bolt.
get a set of good standard, or brass batt connectors.
bolt the existing cable end to the new conn with one bolt where there is usually a clamp with 2 bolts.
i have never seen the clamp work long on a cut off cable.
ive done this with brass from auto zone and never had another problem.
even a lead conn will work well.
i NEVER clamp a cut off cable without soldering the loose strands.

I'll change the cable ends today..As I said, the locks started working...but now the other 3 windows won't work..Originally..just the drivers window stopped..I dropped that damn fuse..can't find it...so I'm replacing BOTH driver and passenger..I don't see a seperate fuse for the back windows..
