I had the same thing happen, but it was a couple of older ladies who pointed there bony white fingers at me when I was filling up at the gas station. They accused me of polluting and using more gas than all the rest. I confronted them and asked to explain themselves. They said I was the reason why the earth was dying. I politely asked if they had kids, they both said yes, and I informed them both that just ONE of there kids (combined there where 5) will have a larger footprint of producing more pollutants in there life time than my *little* Hummer. They both decided to give me a very loving flip of there middle finger and I quietly went back to the pump and continued to pump my gas. I then went home and purchased a Gobi roof rack that would certainly produce more drag on my Hummer thus creating more need for the ever precious fuel...and still, a smaller footprint of pollutants than one of there kids in a life time. Tomorrow I'm ordering free flowing intake and exhaust, just because they pissed me off.

 

Intercooled, I believe the metric to US conversion for SD90's 2008 H2 (16.9L/100KM) equals 13.9 MPG US. That sounds about right to me.

 

On my maiden voyage in my 2006 H2 I got an avg of 14.1...but that was almost all freeway driving from Dayton Ohio to Plymouth Michigan (near Ann Arbor).

Thus far in normal suburban driving I'm getting 12.4-12.7. Haven't cleared the MPG since I drove it off the lot in Dayton.

 

These things happen everywhere, also here in Italy; expecially here, where people drive that small ugly boxes. The first time i drove my H2 just right of the box a folk told me bad comunist words. I stopped the car but the man was gone... Jealousy...

I have been waiting for an FU... but no such luck yet.

I mostly get positive reactions; people doing the walk around or the appreciative long stare... the scariest was when I went for a hike this summer and I came back to about 10 Harley owners had stopped and were doing a walk around and looking in the windows, lol.

My H3T got a whopping average of 22mpg this summer on the highway... gotta love the manual tranny sometimes!

 

I would have slowly pulled up on the curb and when they go running scared, I would have continued to drive up the sidewalk and run the bus stop sign over!!!

I guess they are all the same people who being spoon fed the liberal political agenda. In a few years when the cap/trade bill passes they'll be crying the blues once they have to drop a quarter every time they fart. Then they will realize that the gov't owns every aspect of their daily lives..

I guess they all have their own opinion.. Mine is to shoot the finger right back.. Better yet, If they do it in front of my kids, I'll perform a whoop *** demonstration.
