Default I got the FU!

I was driving yesterday, and these 2 guys (waiting at the bus stop) both gave me the FU finger as I drove by. I was going the speed limit on a residential street and was the only one around! I can't believe there are people that actually do that kind of thing! I don't know if it was because I was in an H2 or if they would have done it if I was in a Civic. I wanted to stop and say 'you are the losers waiting for the bus!' but I didn't. It's an uneducated bunch of people who don't like Hummers, they don't get that much different gas milage than any other full size SUV or truck. A buddy at work has a new 2008 Toyota Tundra, and his mileage computer says 17.3 L/100 km, and my H2 is reading 16.9 L/100 km, so I'm actually getting BETTER gas milage than a Tundra! I bet he never gets the FU!
WHATEVER LOSERS!

They are just losers who wish they were driving a Hummer.

You summed it up best when you said they were waiting at the BUS STOP. Jealousy is an ugly emotion isn't it?

16.9L/100 km, I don't know if it makes any difference, but I don't have the roof cross bars on and the 3rd row seats are out. It is an 2008 and I try to drive 'light.'

Ya, I think you nailed it when you said "uneducated." When I traded in my '03 Infiniti FX35 for an '07 H3 I received comments about gas mileage from co-workers, friends, family, even my 13 year old! We don't take the HUMMER on long trips and I did most of my commuting on my Ducati. While neither vehicle would win awards for conserving gas, is there really much of a difference?

First....they were jealous.
Second......they were upset you were getting better mileage in your Hummer instead of the bus that gets 5 miles per gallon.

Next time that happens just wave at them and give them a friendly honk. That has never happened to me but thats what I would do.

I have to say that's a pet peeve I have about public transportation here in the western states . . . seeing a huge bus that is often carrying less than five passengers. What a waste of taxpayer money.
