Hello everyone,
I am an Install Manager for a large chain of car audio shops, as we constantly disconnect batteries, ( or run them down ) I see this exact problem a lot. It's also very common to Colorado and Canyon trucks. Shorting the battery terminals ( removed from the battery ) generally works for us, i usually zip tie them together for about ten minutes. This drains any current left in the capacitors of the vehicle, allowing a "reboot" of the electrical system. In cases where this does not work, the fuse pull and replace does the trick for us. R&R the fuses while the battery is hooked up, but make sure the ignition is switched off.
Dont be shy to search the Colorado/Canyon forums, as our H3 shares their electrical system.
Goodluck,
Patrick
