Default Hypertech or Superchips?

I want to buy a power programmer for my 06 H2. I think I have it narrowed down to Hypertech or Superchips. Which one works best or do you guys suggest? I am looking for power and fuel economy.

Thanx, Eddie

I would not go with either these days... I have used many programmers over the years including those. So far for the H2 the best results for the money have been with the Diablo sport Predator.. Crisp shifts & nice complementing power increases. Just my 2 cents.. J

Is it easy to install? I heard diablo can be pretty difficult! Would I have to make any adjustments?

The ones I did were no more difficult to use and install than the Hypertech or other units I used. It also does allow me to fine tune or adjust some individual parameters as well, But you dont have to. You can just use one of thier preset tunes if you would like.. Again I have been most pleased to date with this hand held tuner, and I have tuned my fair share of vehicles. J

What are your gains for horsepower and torque? Gas mileage increase? Do you use premium or 87 tune? The reason I ask is my hummer tech says not to run any thing but 87!

Thanx, Eddie

I run 92 octane. I dont remember the Hp & Tq increase off of the top of my head, however it is "feelable"... The transmission shifting was also greatly improved. J

ACTUALLY, NOTHING you do without voiding warranties and involving a coma is going to make a DRAMATIC impact. It's more so about being a hobby. Making the WONDERFUL piece of machinery YOURS... Having said that, I have done the cold air, exhaust, weight reduction, plugs, AND a Superchips PAQ. I've had it for about a year and made adjustments with in a few days. HOWEVER, haven't played with it since till last night and once ALL these mods were done. Play'n with shift points/pressures, tire size, etc, I did notice the power band is more responsive. NOT MORE POWERFUL, just that power seems to be even no matter where I am in gears or RPM's.
I recently met an individual that WANTS to run my H2 on his dyno and MAKE me a custom map to upload into the stock brain. It'll be a bit costly and not everyone should be trusted with such a task but after Analyzing the hell out of this guy and the idea I feel 100% comfortable and EQUALLY excited. I'll have some of his cards on me @ the meet Sat. & once I make this happen, I'll post everything I can. But the cost will be between $250 & $450. Will be an all day task but well worth it.
That's my 2 cents! Feel free to chime in with any info/details/opinions.
