Default Hypertech programmer

Installing a hypertech programmer today on my 2003 H2. Wanted to reach out and see if anyone had any input they could offer from their own personal experience.

Thanks in advance.

Installed. Note to other users. UNPLUG the fuse to the Onstar before doing this.

Pretty much anything that communicates with the H2's computer has to be disabled during programming. On Star, any after market electronics, etc..

My programming failed the first few times until I figured this out

Quicker throttle response, tad better MPG (10.4 to 11.2)

Programmed truck to run on 93 octane, adjusted the computer for the 33" tires, increased shifting firmness 50% which gives the feel of a shift kit in the trans. Overall pleased with the results. Nice investment for $375.

My next mod for consideration will be headers and different pipes. I would like some input from folks in this department. Is there a h-pipe option for this truck? How does the computer adapt to no cats, etc...

i dont have shorty headers, just regular ones but my superchip works well with them. it is designed for them really after talking to super chip a bit.

you should be good to go with it.
