Actually the removal and replacement of the BCM isn't a problem, the problem is, the dealership has to hook it up their diagnostic equipment, and do some reprograming. You could call and find out how much it would save you to do the change, and bring it to them for reprograming, but, I'm not sure if you would have problems driving your Hummer to get it there, before the reprogam. I fried mine a couple weeks ago messing with the fuse block, trying to convert my daytime running lights from the low-beams to the parking lights. They're extremely sensitive to incorrect voltage or ground inputs. Fortunately, my dealer covered under warranty.
As for the TPM, that too is controled by the BCM, but you probably just needed to do a TPM reprogram to get it working (of course, that was before you fried it).

Hello,
12V 0,62 Watts is right.
These bulbs do have the same brightness and dimming-behavior like the stock bulbs. But i recommend to change all bulbs in the hvac, once you have it opened. The other stock bulbs won't last very longer than the broken ones and you would have remove everything another time.

egards,

Before I make this investment let me ask another question: I understand the BCM controls many items but I have only lost functionality in the HVAC area, could I just have blown a fuse?

The fuse box is ALWAYS the FIRST place you look! But keep in mind, you can fry one circuit in the BCM, and it isn't necessasarily going to blow the entire BCM. Other accessories can continue to function properly.
