Hummer H3 without louver.

I'd like to see it too. I went to a paint shop back in July for a quote to patch the holes and paint the center charcoal/black. $500 was more than I bargained for. I didn't realize how many holes there were under there.

Squeeze the cheezy clips and pop yurs off to see it. Post it up for others. It looks like something is missing is what it looks like! If you have not gone in for the recall you may get to see it up close and personal.
They smear adhesive all over that area if you let them do it.
I added the handles after the recall and thru bolted them to hold it on.

And that epoxy is tough, I was going to bolt the handles to the louver but that thing is never coming off again apparently so i'll have to bolt all the way through too.
Thank you GM for yet another incredibly genius idea. 'I know, let's just glue it!'

Just my opinion but the hood louver makes it a HUMMER just like the 7 slot grill, smaller windows and OffRoad capability. I saw 1 picture of an H3 W/O the louver and it looked wrong.

Here is mine after the louver blew off in a car wash. Still has the mounting slots though. I agree that the Hummer needs the hood louver, even if it is not functional. It is just part of what makes it a Hummer. Luckily, mine had not had the recall done so I got a new louver installed for free. I am looking for some decent looking handles to put on it to hold it down. I'm afraid to drive through car washes now until I get that done.

I agree that it wouldn't look right with nothing there. However, I still think it would look great if the center of the hood, the whole "indented" portion, was painted in a contrasting color. I wanted it dark to go with my black wheels. The CE without the louver was what I was envisioning.
