Hey guys.. wanted some input on getting some bad boys-- 22" rims on my hummer.

Will it affect my engine stressing it?

Or brake system?

I have heard from other people but wanted to get your say.... Let me know

don't really matter if you go with 16"rims and 19" of rubber or 33" rims and two inches of rubber...the outside diameter will be the same as will the load the engine is under. Max size is around a 35x12.5 tire depending on rim offset.

I went to the dealer and they said it will cause it to make wind noises because the changing of the trucks shape.. Anyone have it?

 

if it's teh old style roof lights there will be wind noise, gm released a newer version with a wedge in it to prevent noise....BTW...why the change in title?

 

I've been wanting a set of roof lights as well, but haven't been able to find the new version. I'd hate to pay dealer price!

 

they'll be on ebay in a few months I think. The ones on ebay now have to be the old noisy ones so I would stay away!

 

The H3 looks much better with the roof lights.

 

I don't like em at all....IMO it makes it look even more like a brinks armoured truck. Takes away from the lines of the roof...
