Default hummer h1 electrical problems

Firstly, Thanks in advance for any help. I tried a search to no a-do. a little back info- I have 1996 6.5TL wagon with about 130k miles. It was raining and I had my head lights and windshield wipers on. Now- I was driving to work when I noticed my tire pressure was a little low. So i switched on the CTIS only to have all the lights flicker and loose power steering. I immediately turned off the CTIS but by then was too late. I pulled over and inspected it and saw nothing out of the ordinary under the hood. Jumped back in to try and re-start it to no a-do. Put it in neutral in case it was the neutral bypass switch. Previous owner said it need adjusted and I've had a few issues with it that could be corrected by simply putting it in nuetral. No luck. Had someone come put a jump on and it started right up. few hours later I go out try to start it, of course it doesn't start. I then cleaned up the battery cables, removed the previous owners "emergency shut off" switch on the battery terms- jumped it and got it home. Let it sit for almost 2 days went out to start it, glow plugs started to warm up then when I went to start it bam everything dies. for 2 days I had no interior lights when I opened a door, then I go out tonight and I have lights again.

BTW- heres my initial post at humvee.net

If anyone would be willing to by and take a look I'm on the west shore in Harrisburg PA. I'm only 19 with barely any mechanical knowledge, but I'd treat ya to lunch. And yes, I purchased this thing all on my own.

Actually those guys were giving good suggestions. Did you ever install the new alternator that you got? Did you do the parasitic draw test? Did you check the dash ground? What if any aftermarket vdeo, radios, lights, Ipod connections, etc have you added? Those are all high on the list of pulling a parasitic draw from your system.
