GM will almost undoubtedly sell. They already committed to congress to reducing brands that's part of the reason they got the government loan approved.

I would HARDLY say that COMMENTARY on Yahoo qualifies as "almost official"...

It is very sad, but the main reason for the potential dissolve of Hummer has to do with the plights of GM and all other Detroit manufacturers. One of the stipulations of the government bailout, is a fuel-efficiency clause that states that they have to increase their average fuel mileage. Obviously, for GM, this means that removing the Hummer line instantly increases that average.

I agree with others in this post. The desire for these trucks is not going to die, and I'm no marketing expert, but if there is limited supply, the demand will increase. But keep your dirty fingers off mine, I keeping it!!

The HUMMER dealership where i bought my H3 in 2007 is now a TOYOTA dealership.. The nearest HUMMER dealer is 150 mile away... Went to my local GM Dealership and got it service no problem for half the price quoted by HUMMER and does not effect warranty.. But if i had a warranty problem i would have to go to HUMMER...bummer

I'm not to worried as a lot of automobiles will be discontinued. I.E. Saturn, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Durango, PT Cruiser, and most of Pontiac.

O.K. well what I am about suggest borders somewhere between wishfull thinking and full blown fantasy. If GM can't sell the Hummer brand and decides to just shelve it, maybe they can give either GMC or Chevy a redesigned H3 or HX Hummer derivative. Because with Hummer out of the picture, GM does not have anything to fill that market segment.
just my $0.02.

I am sure you all have already seen this:

And some information about warranties

Maybe I will be buying an H3T before I was planning too... I wanted to wait for the 2010 model.

If you have an option to buy with your contract then I would assume yes, if not then who knows.
