When you call Hummer customer service do you get to speak to someone in America?
When I call I always get someone in the Philippines and usually they are difficult to understand.
It has been a waste of time to call Hummer customer service because of language differences, their
accent and my southern accent just do not work. The same problem with Onstar but at least
sometimes you get a person whose first language is English at Onstar. Nothing against these folks it’s
just that I always try to buy American and would hope that American companies would keep jobs here,
not outsourced overseas. To be fair it may be worse for me as I wear hearing aids.

Why did you have to call them about? As forOnStar I always had an American or Canadian that spoke perfect english.

 

i don't know about Hummer CS, but with the one or two times i accidentally called OnStar (i don't have the service, but hit the button when i first picked up my ride), i got a very pleasant English-speakingUS-based woman. maybe they give the good ones to people who don't have the service so they sign up, then BAM! - outsource to India when they have your money. Before my friends to the north go postal, I'm only making a joke. I can see Canada from where I live and spent a good part of my childhood there. My father was born in Ontario and I have many relatives there. So if I hurt your feelings I'm sorry but Ijust couldn'tresist.

Yeah the people I get speak english with a heavy accent....sometimes hard to understand.....sometimes not....

 

Are you talking about the 866-4HUMMER number? I've dealt with them plenty of times and always got somebody in the states.

 

I usually talk to Shelley. Very pleasant english speaking lady with no accent. She is in Indiana. I have only called on the H1s. AMG has her call me periodically to ask how I am doing with the H1 Alpha. Great service and follow up.
