Default Hummer in crash test?

Does anyone know how H3 stacks up in accidents or crash tests overall or possibly the government web site that would tell us the ranking overall? Thanks in advance!

The H2 hasn't been tested? I even tried 2003. I would have thought they at least did the first year it came out.

Not only did it do well in the government crash tests, take a look at the Insurance Institute ratings:
http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=907
The Insurance Institute tests are supposedly tougher than the government's.

My wife was upset by that story until I showed her the IHHS and government ratings.
I can't _imagine_ why that news story, reported both on TV and in print, rated the H3 so poorly. Idiots!

They are trying to sell a news story, just like Dan Rather did.Who cares what the facts are, they report what ever they want.

I think id be pretty safe in my h3 in a crash...

they should test one set up like mine.. lol im sure maority of the h3 owners have some of this as well..

id like to see a crash test of a hummer h3 with:
Rocker rails
Heavy duty brushguard
Winch mount with winch
and undercarriage protection.

i think mabye it would hurt whoever you hit more than you.. lol

Kinda hard to get much better than a 5 star rating. Basic physics will tell you that a 5,000 pound vehicle will usually win in a crash over a 2,000 pound vehicle any day. Hint hint Toyota Prius owners

Haven't had the occasion to test the H3 in a crash but I can tell you that the H2 does very well in a crash. In the two accidents I was in I sustained zero damage and a Honda Civic and a 330 BMW were basically destroyed. My younger brother was in a crash in his H3 and did no damage to his vehicle while the other car sustained heavy damage. I am not worried about how I'll fair in any crash.
