I agree that child safety locks are overrated, they are for parents that dont pay attention to the children Well then if you truly believe that you are an idiot. How in gods name should a parent in the drivers seat supposed to keep a toddler from opening the door in the back...answer that? Don't compare the cars of today vs the cars we grew up in, the h3 rear doors ARE MUCH easier to open, lighter in weight and have the lock and the door handle right next to each other, unlike the old cars with the pull up door lock knobs in the back of the door. Some people just don't get it...amazing! Why is it that everyone that disagrees with you is an idiot?? I think we all got your opinion on this in another thread and yes we get it, but we don't all have to agree with it and franlky I am tired of you going on and on about this!!!! (and I am sure I am not the ony one either!) I take my brothers four kids around all the time in the H3 and they have never once tried to open the door while I was driving. Also if they have their seatbelts on like they should, if by some chance they do open the door, they are not going to fall out. My opinion on it is, if you're that worried about it, then don't cart your kids around in it. I don't call EVERYONE that disagrees with me an idiot...maybe if you had more than 18 posts you would know this ;) I said that if he really meant his post that child safety door locks are for parents that dont pay attention to the children, then he was an idiot. There are hundreds of good parents whose children have been killed over the years who would also have a problem with that opinion. Like I mentioned in other posts I'm not worried about my son falling out, but there are OTHER things that can go wrong with opening a car door, kinda like your truck stopped and having the door opened into a lane where traffic isn't stopped....ever think about that? Now would a two year be safe if a truck ripped off the door and he was belted in his car seat? I don't understand why people get so damn insulted because they cannot admit that GM F**KED UP!!! PERIOD!!!!!!!!! WHY CAN"T THIS BE ADMITTED!?!?!?! For god sakes a KIA comes with the door locks and obviously GM reliazed the F UP cause the 07's are coming with them too. Seems GM knows they F'D up by listing it on my sticker also cause I got two months payment payed for and also getting 07 doors installed. |
RE: How well does a child seat fit in the center back seats?
How many posts I have has nothing to do with this. I follow this forum and yes I may not post a lot, but you seem to have an opinion that you think everyone esle should agree with. For you yes the child locks are an issue and to that yes GM screwed up in your eyes, but that feature is not important to everyone and that's all I am trying to say.
By the way....did you ever get that sticker back from your lawyer so you could post it on here?? (not trying to be a smartass, just curious about that) |

RE: How well does a child seat fit in the center back seats?
Just so I earn my keep as a Moderator..
Please..everyone calm down..I truely believe no one is being called an idiot here, nor was anyone calling anyone irresponsible parents...Just a metaphorical point of view I'm sure...We all agree that the oversight on GM's part is stupid and really a cheap ass move to save a few bucks not to install the child locks...But what is done is done..Parents need to be just a bit more vigilant of their kiddos in the back seat and if they are old enough to understand, a litle NO-NO lecture is not a bad idea either....So those of us without crumb crunchers..well, no big deal either way...Alrighty then? lets have some more discussions about how to clean and polish and bling up our beloved HUMMERS.(the truck that is:eek:):D |
