Default How are these considered totaled?

Slash, what owner would get rid of/ insurance would write off because of this?

This one yea frontal damage, but it says it would be 10k to fix yet the vehicle is obviously worth more then that, not to mention 10k seems like an overstatement

Seriously? an H1 considered salvage because of flood?
It looks a little dirty from a stream run rebuild the engine as I'm sure they mean it got water in it and it seems it would be good to go considering you see vids all the time of people driving through lakes with water to the windshield

On the flip side, these guys didn't do so well

And while were on the topic why are there so many fire damaged H2's?

Those are for sure totalled. And do you have any idea how messed up a car is from a flood? You couldn't pay me to take one.

Ditto. Don't touch a flood vehicle.

I would buy the H1 as a flood vehicle. Especially a gas truck like that. It would make a good trail rig and small block chevys are cheap. You would need to go through the tranny and tcase and also drain and flush the hubs and diffs. The wiring in a gas truck is pretty simple and even if you has to put a complete new harness it would not be that bad. A project like that is not for someone who thinks they can throw a couple of grand at it and everything will be fine.

Any other newer car I would not touch.
