Default hood louver flying off

since moving into my new apartment and having no where to hand wash my h3 i took it to the local drive through car wash. i was coming to the end where the blowers are and those things pure ripped off my hood louver. the car wash guy did finally replace it. has anyone else had this happen? anyway to glue that sucker down better?

Yea, mine did that, the front tabs were broken, tried epoxy on the broken tabs- that did not work- bought a used one on EBay, the guy had bought a chrome one.

Anyway, since replacing the broken one. We are good, no more problems.

I take my H3 to the brushless car washes all the time but never had the vent break loose.
They are held on with friction pins..no bolts or screws.

If your truck was pre-owned, my guess is that the previous owner broke the tabs while swapping an aftermarket louver in and out.

.. a Kiwi saying their H3 gets bathed and nurtured.. WOW! My brother and his buddies give me a hard time for sending them pics with mine being so clean I just tell them my dealership has lifetime free carwashes and they clean it up anytime I get it dirty. My 98 Mazda B2500 only just got the Kiwi approval from my brother when I scraped the right side on a pole to the covered parking!

I am the only owner of My H3, and I go to a car wash once a week, but just last week the plastic black factory louvers blew off mine. The guy at the car wash said it happens all the time on the H3. They would not replave it, but that is ok I wanted to get a chrome one anyway.

Angry HOOD LOUVER flying off

This is the second one to go, one down the road and one in car wash. Needs much attachments to hold down. Very unhappy. Now need a replacement. Where to look for less expensive one??
