Try LA buddy,
house across the street 2 and 1 old spanish sold for $790,000 (over asking) roughly 1200sqft. We want to move to MB but our taxes will go to $17k+ for an even price swap. Stop your bitchin.

race, you live in LA what do you expect? I wouldn't live in LA if they paid me. BTW I'm not bitchin...just makin conversation with friends, you need not post
Dilo, thats basically for a whole new pool and removal of old one, the walls caved in on the old one for some reason so they have to dig it out and then put in new.

If I may offer a piece of advise..In your part of the country, a pool is not what I call a very wise investment for any reason (summers too short)..Fill the damn thing in and mow some grass.[sm=exactly.gif]

well I thought of that but the price to tear out the cement footings and remove the old pool, then backfill is over $11,000. I ain't gonna pay that for dirt! Plus resale value will be a lot more with a pool rather than without, especially because my town stopped giving out permits for in ground pools 5 years ago. I already have the hole so I am grandfathered in. If I ever decide to sell the pool will be a huge advantage over other houses that can't get one. Our summers are short but when its 98 degrees with 90% humidity....pools are nice
