Air Doc H3 Alpha Performance Intake System
#14
Been searching for months. Every outlet I contact tells me that there is something different in the 2010 Alpha and that whatever they offered for the 2009 will not fit, etc.
If you know of an outlet that has something for a 2010 let me know.

If Doc Olds, the owner of Airdoc says it will work with the 2010 Alpha then I would take his word for it, he is a standup guy. Every stupid email with a dumb question in it that I have sent him has been answered quickly and professionally. Given his reputation I feel comfortable betting that if you bought his intake and it didn't work on your 2010 he would gladly issue you a refund.
Doc isn't a big company looking to mass produce garbage and take your money and argue with you if you have problems. He is just like the rest of us, a guy with a passion for wheeling these trucks that just happened to come up with a great intake system and is trying to sell it to other enthusiasts.
Buy his system and see what happens, what do you have to lose? If it doesn't fit I'm sure Doc would work with you to return it. If it does fit then you have hands down the best intake on the market for our trucks at a price point well below any other system.
The airflow problem is in the stock tubing, and the resonator baffle. Why waste money on a more expensive kit that does away with our awesome factory airbox?
I'll be honest of all the offroad capable vehicles I've seen we have by the far the best factory airbox setup on the Alpha. It's got a meter to tell you if your air flow is restricted or not, and the intake is actually in the passenger fender well where it has access to nice cool air. Why replace the airbox with some dumb cone filter style kit that is going to inhale hot air from the engine compartment and get covered in crap. Anyone that wheels these trucks knows first hand how much garbage gets thrown up into our engine compartment.

Also, I would never do something like this to Doc, but IF you did have issues with is product, and IF he wouldn't be willing to work with you, both being a rather large "if" he takes his payments through paypal. Most of the time paypal is completely ruthless in siding with the buyer and would probably quickly take the money back from Doc and refund you if you opened a dispute with them and sent his product back to him and provided them with a tracking number.

Sorry for the delay was out of town all weekend, these are the parts I used to make the CAI
Aluminum Pipe
http://www.allpurposepipes.com/produ...31aa1fdb7872f1 4.0" to 3.5" 90 deg reducer coupler
Pipe Reducer
Exhaust Clamp
On the clamps you will need 2 ea at 3.5" and 2 ea at 4".
The Aluminum tube will have to be cut down to fit , I can't remember the exact lenght, the 4" to 3.5" 90 deg coupler is about 1.75" long on the 4' side I cut this back to 3/4" for fan clearance.
The vacumn adapter kit from autozone comes with everything you need including holesaw, find location you want drill, install grommet and conector , you will need about 8" of 3/8's rubber hose.
The hardest part is getting the fan to clear, I snipped off 1/4" off each blade tip at a 45deg angle worked great it gave me about 3/8's inch clearance between the fan and the Intake.
Hope this helps.
