Itried the swicth again and nothing or no sounds going up.It will go all the way down and come back up to the half way mark and stop.I pulled it up by hand and it stayed untilI shut the door and it dropped down about 2-3" HELP!

It sounds like the window regulator failed. They are not too hard to replace. It does suck to have to spend money on a part that you cant see.

Itook the panel off and found some plastic parts in the bottom of the door. then I noticed a cable was loose.I pushed the window up on the bottom of the tray and used the switch at the same time andI got it to stay up.I then out a wood shim up agianst the window tray to hold it until you guys tell me what i need to do next.

If the cable is loose the window regulator needs to be replaced. It's not a hard job. The aftermarket makes regulators for a lot of vehicles and they are usally about half price of factory regulators. I would check with a carquest or napa for a price and then call Hummer and see how much they are.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking that the "regulator" was some kind of electrical or motor type part. I called the local Hummer Dealer and they said it was in stock at $318.00. i will give the aftermarket guys a call in the morning. any good online H2 parts places. Anyone know the EASY way to change it?
