Heated Seats issue ...

Heated Seats issue ...
Hey guys ... finally getting around to fixing my heated seats (07 H2).
Starting condition: drivers side adjustments work ... no lumbar ... no heat top or bottom. Passenger side lumbar works ... no heat.
So I had a pretty good guy look it over and he got the lumbar working and the seat tops working but both bottom seat elements won’t heat?
Is that a sure indication that the seat elements are bad?
Have read on the forum that a bad relay under the dash can cause intermittent operation of the seats?
Trying to figure out where to go next and how far to chase this thing ... knowing my dealer ... he will suggest I buy entirely new seats for $5,000

If they are the original seats the elements are probably shorted/broken somewhere causing them not to heat. I would definitely not buy new seats but go to an upholstery shop and have the seat cushions and heating elements redone. I doubt any dealer even has H2 seats anyway.

Check the 'breakers' that control the seat functions. There is one down at your left foot and one under the hood. They are metal cased and do go bad.
I found that I kept using the foot panel as a brace, so I damaged the power supply to my seats. Once you find it, split it in half and look for any burned pinned connections. It will make sense when you see it.

I'll keep working on it ...
