Default Heated seat won't turn off.

And it hot when driving. Pulled the fuse for now. Do the switches go out? Is this a common Prob?

The switch triggers a relay.....could be either the switch or the relay is bad.

Never had it happen on any of our H3s. Sounds like the relay is bad.

Let us know what the fix was!

my fond memory of heated leather tells me the sw was a rocker with low one way hi another and off in the MIDDLE. is that it?.
are you off for sure?

later, if it did not kill the batt, quik!,it meant that it went off with the key off. not a stuck relay huh.?
be sure you are really in the off position.

Didn't kill the batt and it's in the middle.

I've noticed that my seat heater will not turn on unless someone is sitting in it and the rocker switch is in the low or high position. Is thereby a switch under the seat to detect that? Or is it ways on regardless if there is a body on the seat.

are you sure they aren't getting hit by you leg as you get in and out of car and go to the on position? Just got an H3 the other day and that switch has a mind of its own. Now i simply check its position before i close the door. 9 times out of 10 its in the on positon.

There's a sensor in the passenger seat. The switch can be 'on', but if there's no a$$ in the seat, the heater won't activate.

That switch does have a mind of its own. I can not tell you how many time I get in or out of the car and I check the switch and it is in the high position. Something about getting into the seat or sitting in it makes that switch move to the high setting. I was thinking about pulling the switch and filing back some of the plastic on the top that surrounds the switch. Also check you fuse 53 for this is the fuse that goes to the relay from the driver switch.
