I wonder if it's cuz it's the 5th time they are putting glass in for me LOL! I've had some BAD luck with rocks hittin' my windshield in the past

Shiot.....!.
I guess I will have to quit whining about my cracked windshield now.
Just remember, Hummers have SCARS, not dents....Show yours proudly.
BTW: After reading your comments on the MT's I have to ask, would you now consider some Swampers?
I was in a very similar predicament a few weeks ago (topping a flood control levy with trees on both sides) and the
only thing that got me up and over in a straight line were those TrXus MT's...They wouldn't stop biting. I was the
only one of 5 trucks that did not have any problems. One was on MT's and the rest were on Goodyear MT's or
knock offs........
At any rate, glad you had fun and thanks for sharing your exploits....It's always good to see what other peoples sand boxes look like.

No, those Mickey's are staying on the truck. I did a few things wrong in this case ...
#1, I underestimated the hill and it's slickness
#2, I did not drop down in to 4L locked/locked rear endlike I should have.... I was in 4H locked when I hit that hill..
#3, I didn't get the wheel spin I needed due to above mentioned wrong 4x4 setting, thus not cleaning the thread out enough to get some bit back in to em. Traction was killing me off and once I started sliding there was nothing I could do ... I stood on the brakes, I gave it as much gas as I could trying to chew through it and get my azz end away from the tree but kept on slippin' no matter what I did!
I think the mud pit I came out of had a lot to do with this as well .. the threads were entirely too clogged up when I hit that hill .. *stupid* and like I said, not enough wheel spin, TC ... again *stupid*
All in all I'm chalking this experience up as a learning event with a price tag attached to it. I can't say I'm pleased with the dent in my truck but in all honesty, it really doesn't botter me much either. Had it been a grocery store parking lot kind of dent I would've been furious .. but this is a battle scar and I can live with that ... I did of course get some pretty good custom pin striping done to it as well but I've come to accept that as a part of getting out in the woods and having fun ... I'll get the detail guys I go to take care of that for me. I have a couple of good gashes after Saturday but they only charged me $15 bucks to fill them in (couple of bad ones) thelast time I had them do the truck over for me. If not I'm sure my dealer can hook me up when I take it in later in the week for oil .. .
As far as the tires goes I don't think they are to blame here ..... more driver error than anything else ... I'll continue to swear by the BAJA MTZ' .. they've done me well so far. Like I told the Mickey Thompson rep when they called me (follow up on a survey I took), I won't be putting another tire on my Hummer as long as these are available.

You have no idea how hard it was for me to break my old Detroit locker,4 on the floor and "kick it to shift it into low lock" 4 wheelin' habits.
I'm still not used to this push button stuff and (BTM) fake it outlocker proceedure....Still forget to turn off that anti skid crap sometimes....
Also.....Do you remember what tires I had wanted in the first place...Till 4WP's screwed me around and I ended up with the Swampers?
BTW: You should be honored.........You are my number 500......Do you feel special?

I was going by what has happened to other people with wheel slip/sudden grip as well as what's stated about the use of the 4x4 system. Not saying either is right/wrong here, I made the call and I got bit LOL!I figured it's cheaper to deal with body damage thana grenadedt-case ...and a lot easier getting home that way lol!
Had I not been in the crap already I would've dumped it but the situation didn't lend itself to it in my opinion ... I learned my lesson .. I'll move on from here and give that hill another shot next time I'm there ... this time in 4L with locked rear and TCS2 LOL!
No, I don't recall but I'm guessing the same BAJA MTZ' I have LOL!
Yes, I feel special ... LOL!
