Question H3 vs. H3T tail light compatibility

Somewhere I saw a thread (I thought it was here, but searched and couldn't find it) suggesting that H3T tail lights are not compatible with the H3. I don't know if that may be due to fitment or electrical/wiring issues.

I did a search on Google Images and found an image (below) of a project H3 by ARB in Australia, which appears to have the H3T tail lights.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

P.S. I superimposed an image of the H3T tail lights over the original photo for comparison.

The H3T taillight is physically taller and mounts differently that the H3 taillight.
Same reason why taillight guards for a H3 will not work for a H3T

Wiring is also different. Different harness setup than on the H3.

Yep and Yep. We have both and I did try to swap them one day to see.

Thanks for the info. Here's the reply I got from an ARB rep ...

"That particular truck was of the Aussie spec and built in the South African H3 plant that existed at the time. Presumably the taillights are standard for the Australian market."
