Thumbs up

I too have been noticing the temp gauge getting to almost 3/4 hot in the recent days....I chaulked it up to the 100 heat here in Florida. On long road trips it gets up just over the half way mark and stays. I did notice at a stop it gets hotter quicker, but when we start moving is slowly climbs down(but never gets below half way mark). I can only assume this is due to the airflow getting in when we start moving again. I am no mechanic, but DEXACOOL sucks a fat one! I had to change it in my 96 GMC sonoma @ 50K due to the SLUDGE that was left in my radiator. The other stuff has worked like a champ! MY GMC has over 168K on it now and hasn't had any radiator related problems! The Hummer has 58K on it now and has slowly been getting warmer, even on the highway. We will switch out the DEXACOOL at the first chance! Thanks for this post.....I was hoping it was happening to other trucks too! We will definitely tell our mechanic your trick to try.
