Wasn't intending to offend you Halo. Just saying that with the little expertise I have in electrical components I'd rather leave it to someone who does it for a living.

The digital receiver is not that difficult to locate. Just drop your glove box all the way (or remove it, easiest) look up where the glove box was, grab the black cover you see and pull down...say hello to the receiver

Does the $5.00 mod work for a 2006 H3 with monsoon system without XM radio?

Thanks

Default what if I donot have XM?

Does anybody know if the cheap aux mode work on factory stereo without XM? Mine has not XM and when I press BAND, it only cycles through fm1,fm2,am1,am2. I notice the original c6 corvette owners says his method only works for system with XM receiver installed.

The reason you need the XM is not for the XM itself, but, as an external source to the head unit, it provides a set of input leads that you need to tap into for the AUX mod.

got it. The reason I am asking is because Rays says we need to use the XM switch to switch to the audio input. I was wonder if we could just connect the audio jack to some pins directly. Maybe that is not doable.

Not do-able, because without an external XM, or CD disc changer, none of the pins are 'inputs' only 'outputs', such as power, ground, amp/speaker feeds, etc.
