H3 REAR Sunroof Drain Tubes!!
#31
i use silicon grease that i got from ? yrs ago. its like the clear stuff for electronic heat sinks. well cloudy clear! auto parts stores should have some.
i rub the rubber and metal surface with a wet rag till clean, then grease it. its 4 yrs now no leaks no trouble,no plugged drains. i use a popsicle stick so it doesnt get soaked up in a rag,and you need it to get all around and in between.

Great video, wish I would have seen it a few weeks ago before I tore mine down to do all the drain tube mods. That leak in the white collector tray concerns me now. Had no idea that it was designed like that. I wish I would have checked that a little closer while I had it opened up, although I did run water through the system and didn't see any problem at that location. Who knew there could be so many leak points in one sunroof system? P.S. Wasn't it a little ironic that he was working on it and then it started to rain?

Yeah that was ironic. I got some dielectric grease from Autozone and applied it to the weatherstripping that surrounds the sunroof, and the metal that contacts the weather stripping when the sunroof is closed. Hopefully this will prevent any water from entering into the vehicle from the sunroof... Easy fix if it works. But it may only be temporary. I'll report back after we have another storm.
