Hi im new and im looking for a Leveling kit for my H3. I like the tough Country kit bc it comes with the rear piece too...Has anyone used it or has it on there's? and how good it is and how easy is the install? thanks

 

Welcome. You don't need anything to level the H3 aside from a 1 1/6" socket and a floor jack. Use the search function here as it's hands-down the most covered question regarding H3's.

 

I used one because I got it for free but you do not need to use one, search on the boards and you can do it very easily without the kit. I was told the leveling kit makes the ride a little softer but for the small amount it changes I dought I would know the difference between leveling with or without kit. Looks much nicer to me without the rake.

 

The only thing an index kit does is change the clock position of the index end of the torsion bar. In other words it starts the bar out with more twist to allow more lift than can be had with the stock setting.
On some vehicles this is required or the bolt will bottom out before the desired ride height is achieved, but on the Hummer H3, there is plenty of thread to achieve lift so the re-indexing accomplishes nothing.
In stock form the H3 index already allows for more lift than can be used.

With or without the index kit, the factory torsion bar will need to have the same amount of twist to acheive the same amount of lift, thus it will provide the same exact ride quality at the same height.
