Default H3 Head Problems

I've been reading that the I5s can have head issues. Is this for all years or just a certain year? I have a 2010 w/only a 50,000 miles warranty and am debating on extending it to 90,000. Do you guys think that is a good idea?

Umm, Doesn't it already have a drivetrain warranty to 100,000 miles or 5 yrs, whichever first??

I bought a 2010 and it only had a 50,000 mile 5 yr. warranty. They offered the extended warranty to 100,000 when I bought it but decided against it. Do most have the 100,000 miles warranty.

Not most they ALL do, after 2007. Even if you bought it used, the warranty transfers to the new owner!

You have a 4 year/50,000 mile Bumper to Bumper and a 5 year/100,000 Powertrain Warranty. The early 06 3.5's were the one's prone to head problems.

The 07's also had the head problem. I had one of them. Mine went at 65,000. Warrenty covered though.

I just had a coolant leak fixed on my 07 and I thought it might be the head.
Dealer found the TCM (temperature coolant module) leaking and replaced it.
The dealer said he has seen NO head issues with any H3's other than the 06's
This dealer is in Reno Nevada. he also said the head would have been covered under
the five year powertrain warranty

My '07's sure was no fluke. The dealer here has seen plenty of them.
