Two screws and that's it.

 

I didn't realize this was so much of a problem, thought mine was an isolated incident.
Mine broke on a road trip to Colorado and since the dealer knew I needed it fixed, they took one out of a new truck from the lot. That was back in the days when there were new trucks on the lot.
It only broke once on me, but traded the 3 for a 2 shortly after and never had the problem again!
It's just another annoyance of many I had with the 3 that I don't miss it so much after moving to a deuce where this stupid stuff just doens't happen.

 

This is a very common problem i get asked every week for these on ebay.

We have used glove boxes that i have been selling the latches off,as the glove box itself dont really sell.
They cost $25.00 + shipping for the latch

My car is not in US. In Singapore. My car glove box was broken a few days back. I really don't know where to fix this up. We don't hv Hummer servicing here. Can somebody help me how to do it? Is it same method as other cars do? Thanks.

 

If you can buy the part online it's an easy job to replace it. Just open up glove box door, unscrew the bolts holding old one and replace with new part.

 

how do i open the glovebox if the latch is now broken and it is closed shut.
