There are some H10 after market bulbs out there with better light, but take it from me
they really don't offer much more light.
Of course there are HID "kits" you can get online, but they are illegal and don't put the light where you want it most
Check out these legal projection HID's made for the H3
For opinions, do a search at this forum for "HID light install"
There has been much discussion about this subject

I agree that the headlamps are bit dim, seems to be somewhat of an issue with all the H10 equipped vehicles we own/owned.
SilverStars made a noticable improvement but they only lasted about 12 months. Luckily, I saved the OEM bulbs so I just put them back in.
My solution was to trigger the on/off switch for our cheapie KC 110W long range beam lamps to the high beams on our truck. This has worked great for the past 2 years.

Thanks for the update.
I hate our headlights, but that seems to be the way it is with a lot of my GM trucks.
We have a SAAB 9.3 that has fantastic headlights, non HID too.
You'd look at our arrangement on the H3 and think that something good would be going on there out the front, but from behind the wheel at night on a dark road we need much more, then switch to hi-beam and almost no noticeable difference.
I'll also look into the PIAA replacement.
Thanks

The headlight bulbs are PIAA "H13 Xtreme White Plus" #19618
$58 w/shipping off eBay
I have the fog light bulbs on the way. They are PIAA "9005 Intense White" #10925
Amazon.com had the best price for these @ $42.98 w/free shipping.
I'll post again after I get the fogs installed!

Fogs installed
Well I got the PIAA 9005 Intense White fog bulbs & finally got around to installing them.
WOW....., what a difference!! Really really bright! I thought for sure people would be flashing me to turn them off...., but apparently since they are such a low & wide wash they don't bother on comming traffic. But what an improvement for night driving!!
Highly recomended upgrade!
PIAA 9005 Intense White #10925
Also..., since I last posted, I have adjusted the aimed of my headlights a little higher than the factory setting & this has improved the lighting considerably. Again with no adverse reactions from on-comming traffic!
Now that I'm bright white, It's amazing how much I notice just how yellowish most vehicle headlights really are.
