H3 exhaust manifold confusion. Please help

Well I could have suggested a possible fix had you given all the info. You did not originally state that you pried the exhaust away from the bell housing in order to make room to put cardboard between the two. I was in no way trying to make you sound like an idiot you just decided to leave out information in what you were doing. Obviously something is loose or bent allowing contact.

If it moves, then something is more than likely loose; as Humtech said, it is all bolted solid together so it should not move enough to rattle much less to pry apart with a screwdriver. Lose the attitude towards those who are trying to help and you will likely get much more help.
