You remember my thread about my 2007 blowing its air bags for the second time "on road!" Here the end story.


They flew a guy out to check the SUV and download the computer information. He did and wouldn't tell me what it said. I saw it later and it said 40 mph and straight. I was on a well maintained dirt road. GM's response was the air bags detected a roll over and deployed. How the hell that happened I don't know. I had witnesses that said I was following them on a flat road. See my old thread.

As a "Goodwill Gesture" GM had my side airbags, headliner grab handle, seat belt tensioner and module replaced. They denied the windshield and outer trim piece. The said I had a 2007 trim piece on that side and 2008 trim piece on the good side. They said the 2007 trim pieces are crap but they wouldn't replace it.

You remember the trans went out this summer, the transfer case in spring, the CD player early this fall and now the motor is leaking oil from the front cover.

I hate this POS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that...thats rubbish GM denied stuff in that instance...here (UAE) we take our airbag fuse out when we go dune bashing, cos of the angles we get at the car thinks its going to roll (its not...touch wood) and the airbags go off, very expensive to repair and they are even covered by the agency...at least for newbies and if they forgot to tell them...but flat road at 40mph....crazy...

Your car likely put together on and with parts made on a fri afternoon or monday morning....if the other issues have been repaired hopefully with wed built stuff you should have better luck now on......good luck...
