H3

RE: H3
Your question is Subjective Car Shopping 101, but maybe you don't have a dealer nearby for a test drive. The H3 is no Cadillac. In-town driving, its stiffer suspension is evident and you'll know your not in your X5. Its not a harsh ride, but stiffer and much more trucklike than carlike. Manueverability, however, is superb and I suspect the H3 turn radius is tighter than your X5. On the Highway, the H3 is extremely comfortable and, a welcomed condition, surprisingly quiet. Offroad, H3 is perhaps the most capable stock 4x4 on the market; certainly nothing in its price range comes close.
I view the H3 as returning the 4x4 to the True Faith and away from the heresies of suburban soccer-momhood that corrupted and destroyed the once respected rugged 4x4 SUVs like Montero, Cherokee, and 4Runner.

illusion, not knocking your rides at all bro, I like some bling also. Just pointing out that the h3 might not drive as smooth as an escalade or others you listed because it's not made to, two different beasts. As far as the hp to weight ratio, I am comparing the h3 to the h2, an engineer at hummer posted it on another board a few weeks back, weight to hp the two were pretty damn close. Actually, the h2 has a listed weight of 6400 pounds the h3 is 4700 pounds, h2 has 325 hp the h3 has 220. according to those figures the H2 has a power to weight ratio of .050 the h3 has a power to weight ratio of .046 thats a very minimal difference.

off road bling is fine, I have 17" blingy wheels and once I get my 35's I'll beat the hell out of em just like I would black rims. I've ruined a few rims before on my other trucks doing this but IMO it's the price you pay for looking good on the street. I mentioned his rims becasue of the size more than the style, 20" and up are not off road sizes, can't air em down like smaller wheels.
