I think a powerboost like that is definitely worth a couple thousand bucks. But if you bought that supercharger for $4,900 means you payed almost 3 grand for installation and since they say on their website:

Can be installed in as little as 2 1/2 hours
So isn't that a bit much?

The website does say it takes 2 1/2 hours to install the supercharger, but it actually takes 10 hours to install. If you call Predator Motorsport directly they will you that too. It is 308 HP but if you add the aftermarket exhaust it gains another 15% and brings it to 315-320 HP..

Here's another example, I also put on clearance lights on my H3 and the manufacturer says it will take 1 1/2 hours to install. I had a Hummer Technician put them on and it took a total of 6 hours. So it ended up costing me $415.00 for the lights and $590.00 in labor..

So how is the ride now? Do you get somewhat of a kick now when you floor it? I dont mean like a sportscar of course, but compared to a regualr h3.
They say it gets you better mileage. Have you experienced this?

And do you know if this will hurt the engine with this extra boost? What about warranty? Did you have to retune the ECU? Please expand on the performance, Before and After type examples.[sm=gears.gif]

POST some pictures too..Thanks

The nature of superchargers will not give you that "kick in the pants" powerband. Superchargers are VERY linear, so while you WILL feel a difference in power, its not going to be that sudden snap your neck that a Turbo will give you.

That installation cost still seems WAY excessive. You said 10 hrs install time and 2800 labor? $280.00 per hour labor???! Or are we missing something here?

I'd love to have an extra ~90 HP, but for that cost...yikes.

I'd still like to know why GM dropped the Turbo solution that was on the prototype H3 one the car show circuit in 04.

TMan,

It goes even faster if you hook up the supercharger belt! [X(]

I've been trying to get a hold of one from Predator for a while, since back in January to be exact. Are they available now? Last I checked they are still on back order...am I missing something?

Very nice, what kind of gain did you achieve? Also, is the supercharger a kit?
