I apologize for not posting on this forum as much as I should be, but I use this board as a great reference for the last 5 years. I finally ran across a problem which I could not solve through search. Many of you are running no cats and using straight pipes. I have ran test pipes, off road h/x pipes in the past on different cars where the cat was eliminated but these pieces were perfectly fitted to the car with gaskets and flanges. I am not really finding one for this platform. I am having too many problems with these cats to the point they have to go. I could go the route of a custom job, but if a perfectly fitted piece exist could someone point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

 

I think they are illegal now and no one sells them.

 

Just get a high quality high flow cat...they flow almost as well as a test pipe, and they're legal in most states.A good cat should last you a long time.

 

They never were legal were road use. However, high flow cats. Where is the recommended list?

 

You need to run cats on these engines, the back pressure is needed to run properly. Every Hummer H2 owner I know that had them removed had nothing but problems with the computer and sensors. I do not recommend that you remove them.
