Hi guys, found this when I was doing a walk around on my Rig. Anyone had this problem???

I checked another H2 that was parked in a mall and had the same issue, looks like a weak spot in the design of the vehicule.

My H2 is a 2007 with about 23 500 km and Still under the 4 year/50 000miles warranty that says that covers Sheet Corrosion, so the dealer should do it no charge right?

I think adding 3M tape (the same type ppl put on their car hood for stone chips) after the paint job should help this issue from re-occuring.

What do u guys think?

 

I have lived where they salt the roads somewhat in the winter. I have also traveled to Minneapolis and Chicago many times where they are much more aggressive with using salt/chemicals to melt the snow. In those areas you can almost hear the cars rusting as you stand in a parking lot looking at the brown car cancer. Same cars, different reaction.

Steel rusts, no matter who is the manufacturer. A "weak spot in the design" would be an area where water is allowed to enter but not drain out. It is hard to tell from your pics, but that does not look like what is going on in your case.

 

Check with Hummer I think they have a much longer warranty on rust than the normal bumper to bumper warranty.
