H2 mileage improvement
#21
Well finished the fan conversion and cant really say I have an increase of gas mileage BUT I haven't really driven on the freeways for longer that 8 miles and then street driving the other part. My foot seems to be a bit heavy right now cause I'm enjoying the power increase I have gained with some of my new mods. They are definately noticeable and so is the fan. Cruising on the fwy it has nice pick up with part throttle driving and really opens up nice WOT.

well, i dont know about fans, however, i was able to consistently achieve 18mpg going about 60 on the highway, my tires were very well worn. i replaced them for winter, and mileage went to 14. mileage has alot to do with rolling resistance and friction, so newer or grippier/aggressive tires will be worse for mileage. also, air pressure is key, the stock tires are rated for 50psi, but the manual says like 35 or so. your ride might get a little bit rougher, but put it maybe 5psi higher on the tires, and you will get better mileage and coasting. btw, my only upgrade was a simply airaid cai.
