OK, I'm having a problem. Am I the only H2 owner (2007) with a Kayak? Santa brought me a Native Ultimate 14.5 Propel Kayak for Christmas and I can't seem to find a roof mount to go with my factory roof bars. I would like the Thule Hullavator but their web site indicates that I need a $250 foot pack (430Tracker II Foot Pack | LB78Load Bars | TK1Tracker Kit) in addition to the $499 Hullavator. This system allows uses gas springs so you can release it, drop the mounting brackets off of the side, load the kayak (about chest high), then helps you raise it up to the "roof" position. Withh the H2 being so tall, this seems to be the ticket, but I welcome all suggestions. Also, are the H3 roof racks the same size as the H2?

I don't have a hummer ( yet) but I do have a land rover and a kayak. Thule makes any and all adapters for you. You do not need to use the hummer racks any more than I did the land rover. Just get the foot, then the bars and build anything you need to. I use mine with a malone rack and have driven 1200 miles one way and never lost the kayak. I have the same system set up so I can also put my roof top tent on. I used the same system on a 95 land cruiser and when the land rover came along all I needed to buy was a foot for the new car. I intend to do the same when I buy a hummer. Just find out who sellls Thule , call then and they can set you up without all the extra crap someone will try and sell you. Just tell them when you are trying to do. Good luck and happy boating
