Default H2 Air suspension convert--- but i want to lift it after.

Hey Everyone. First Post!

I have a 2005 Hummer H2. My rear air suspension compressor runs a lot when idling and when the truck sits for a while one side sags. So i know i have a leak somewhere. I have read up about the maintenance of the air ride and looks like it gets pricy if you just keep fixing it vs buying the conversion spring kit. I also want to lift my truck soon with the 4 inch rancho lift so i dont know if that will effect it.

Questions are

1. Does anyone suggest keeping the air ride?
2. If i convert to the spring coil kit does a Rancho Lift kits still work? Do i purchase the air ride option or the spring option? i have contacted rancho and they don't really know.
3. Hows the ride with the conversion?

thanks a lot!

The ride shouldn't change. air springs or coil springs do the same thing except the air springs can adjust height and level the rear end. If you don't tow and your going to lift it anyways find out if the lift kit comes with coil springs and shocks for the rear. If so You may just need the spring seats for the rear.

hey... thanks for the info. ended up taking a different route. I purchased the spring kit from Arnott and i bought 4 5100 series bilstein shocks and a damper. I am also going to buy the truxxx level kit and that will be all i do. I will upgrade my 35 inch toyos to 37s when the 35's are worn out. If anyone wants to know how all this works out ill post in 2-3 weeks. does anyone think the truxx kit is bad idea? or go for it? anyone have one?

bilstien shocks and stabilizer- 600 shipped
Arnott spring kit- 333.00 shipped to canada
Truxxx kit- 440.00 shipped
