H1 becoming a rare sight...
H1's are becoming a super rare sight in this part of the world.
Out of the 11,818 civilian H1's produced, I'm wondering how many of them are actually still in North America. So many of them are being exported into other countries like Japan, Germany, Russia...and then there are those that end up on the scrapheap. Seems like prices are really starting to go up again as well...

I have seen estimates that 2000-2500 have been wrecked, rusted out, destroyed, another 3000-3500 exported which would leave roughly 6000 left in the US. No idea how accurate these estimates are but they seem to make some sense to me. Another way to look at it would be that means roughly 1 H1 per 50,000 US citizens or 130 per state. Given that some states like California and Texas have far more than their pro rata share that means seeing an H1 in some areas would be a pretty rare occurrence. Interesting statistical anomaly in that I know of 8 H1s in Waco, TX, a town of 125,000 people. Even with that high of a concentration of H1s it is fairly rare to see an H1 in Waco.
